The Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire, was reported by the English Football总会 for alleged improper conduct towards the fourth official after his red card dismissal during the Premier League match against Bournemouth. The incident occurred in the 78th minute of the match, where Maguire fouled Bournemouth's Ewaislen in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick awarded to the opposition. Despite the referee's inconsistent application of the same foul in previous instances involving Amad Diallo, Maguire's dismissal was confirmed. Maguire was expected to respond to the charges before the April 2 deadline, while Manchester United was contacted by the English Football总会 regarding a potential appeal. Additionally, Maguire faces the possibility of further disciplinary sanctions from the English Football总会, which could extend his suspension by up to two matches beyond the mandatory one-match ban resulting from the red card.
